Saturday at the Con
Didn't do much. Sat through a panel with Laurel K. Hamilton, who would not sit down. Kind of amusing, but I was really in the room for the next program, a Family guy panel. Seth (complete with drink) and the writers. we got to see all of the clips from the Star Wars episode that were posted on You Tube, instead of just the part we saw yesterday, and this season, Bonnie will finally have the baby, or so we were told. There's also apparently a new Brian and Stewie traveling episode, but I'll say no more.
Saw Elvira and Rosario Dawson in the huge signing room, but no chance to get in line at that point.

San Diego, not for work
Well, I'm off to San Diego tomorrow, for to go to the Comic-Con. More once I get there.
Alright, so I just got back from friday at Comic Con. Finally decided to share stuff. So I wandered around for a good chunk of time, got another book signed by Margaret Weis, took some pictures of the big Golden Compass display, and failed to get any Spiderwick Chronicles stuff (there's a movie coming out, but I've read nothing so far). Then we (my sister and I) went to see Niel "Scary Trousers" Gaiman talk about stuff. Then it was off to one of the big auditoriums to watch a few panels.
We came in during the middle of a two part panel. The first part had Frank Miller talking and answering questions. Part two was Ridley Scott, Syd Mead, and a good chunk of the cast of Blade Runner talking about the new edition. One of the best parts was the one actor talking about one of the takes of the scene where he kisses Rutger Hauer, he's not sure why he did it, but he opened his mouth and gave Rutger Hauer the tongue.
Next there was a 30th anniversary Star Wars thing, except it was really an ad for Lucasarts and Lucasfilm. Except they were talking about how one of peoples favorite things to do is parody the series. They showed a video of several clips and then introduced someone to talk about the season premiere of Family Guy. So, out comes Seth MacFarlane, complete with drink in hand, and he talks about doing a whole episode devoted to Star Wars (the version from Celebration VI can be seen here, but we didn't get everything that they did, but we did get the scrolling text at the beginning, which was hilarious).
After that was the real reason we were in that room, Q&A with Kevin Smith. Funniest man alive. He did actually have something serious to say, about the show he directed called Reaper. We saw the pilot episode there, very good. Only show that has been on CW that has made me actually want to change to that channel. Other than that, he gave one of his infamously obscene Q&A's. Very funny. Yes, I did edit this, there are family members of mine that might read this.
